Our drive-in worship on Sunday 11th October will be a Harvest Festival celebration led by Rev Graham Thompson, Chair of the Plymouth and Exeter District. There will be a bin provided for our gifts of tins or packets for the Food Bank, which we can use as we arrive. A Retiring Collection for All We Can (the Methodist relief and development charity) Harvest Appeal will be taken as we leave. St John’s Church will be hosting the annual Variety Show in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care on Tuesday 21st January, starting at 7.15 p.m. Including RCB Soul and Swing (with guest singer Rachel Carter), Carclaze Voices, Notability, John Frankland and others. Tickets are £5 each and can be obtained from any FAC office.
You are invited to the Family Christingle Crib Service at St John’s on Christmas Eve at 3 p.m. Come dressed in Nativity Costume (optional); listen as the Christmas story of Jesus’ birth unfolds; enjoy making Christingles. Free squash, tea and biscuits after the service.
Our Christmas-themed Messy Church will be held on Thursday 19th December from 3.15 to 5.15 p.m. All are welcome to join us for crafts and other activities, music and a family sit-down meal.
