We are holding a Nativity Open Church on Saturday 19th December. The church will be open from 10 a.m. until 12 noon so that people can come and see the nativity scene, crib, prayer tree and Christmas tree.
Harvest Festival Drive-In Worship 11th October
Our drive-in worship on Sunday 11th October will be a Harvest Festival celebration led by Rev Graham Thompson, Chair of the Plymouth and Exeter District. There will be a bin provided for our gifts of tins or packets for the Food Bank, which we can use as we arrive. A Retiring Collection for All We Can (the Methodist relief and development charity) Harvest Appeal will be taken as we leave. “A Present for our Hospice”
St John’s Church will be hosting the annual Variety Show in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care on Tuesday 21st January, starting at 7.15 p.m. Including RCB Soul and Swing (with guest singer Rachel Carter), Carclaze Voices, Notability, John Frankland and others. Tickets are £5 each and can be obtained from any FAC office.
St John’s Christingle Crib Service 24/12
You are invited to the Family Christingle Crib Service at St John’s on Christmas Eve at 3 p.m. Come dressed in Nativity Costume (optional); listen as the Christmas story of Jesus’ birth unfolds; enjoy making Christingles. Free squash, tea and biscuits after the service.
Christmas Messy Church
Our Christmas-themed Messy Church will be held on Thursday 19th December from 3.15 to 5.15 p.m. All are welcome to join us for crafts and other activities, music and a family sit-down meal.
Messy Church 21st November
You are invited to join us for Messy Church again on Thursday 21st November when the theme will be “The Armour of God”. As usual there will be crafts, music, worship and a family sit-down meal. We’re always pleased to see new families and new helpers.
